This document discusses the difference between efficiency and effectiveness. Efficiency refers to avoiding waste of resources like time, money and energy when producing a result. It is doing things well without waste. Effectiveness means doing the right things to achieve desired goals. An example of a clothing factory shows efficiency as producing the most clothes with the least resources. For an organization to be successful, both efficiency and effectiveness are important. The manager needs to efficiently do things right and effectively do the right things to reach organizational goals.
