Be careful when using ATMs as scammers have been known to attach keylogging keyboards and card slots to capture card information and PIN numbers. Some tips to avoid fraud include using a familiar ATM, checking for any differences in the keyboard or card slot positioning, shielding your hand when entering your PIN, and being aware of potential cameras attached to record your PIN entry. Vigilance is advised when using ATMs.

- 10. Always use the same ATM as far as possible! You are more likely to spot any tampering if you are using a familiar ATM machine! Be vigilant and observant to notice anything different about your ATM! Most ATM keyboards are set within the body and are not protruding above the base! Check to be sure. The card slots are also set within the body of the ATM machine and not protruding above it! Check this also. Look out for miniature cameras stuck to the ATM top that can photograph your PIN code entry! Shield your hand with a paper sheet or envelope and enter the PIN code under this cover!
