The study validates the Autistic Learning & Behavioural Difficulties Inventory (ALBDI) as a useful screening tool for identifying autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children, correlating significantly with the Gilliam Autism Rating Scale-Second Edition (GARS-2). Findings indicate that ALBDI effectively assesses cognitive, conative, affective, and sensory difficulties related to ASD, although limitations exist in its predictive ability for certain difficulties. The research supports using ALBDI alongside established measures to inform treatment planning for children with ASD.
