We hope you enjoy the course. Please read the following information about your course. Course books First (Mid Term) Assessment Face2Face Elementary • Student’s Book units 10 to 12 • Workbook units 10 to 12 Face2Face Pre-intermediate • Student’s Book units 1 to 2B • Workbook units 1 to 2B Second (Final) Assessment Face2Face Pre-intermediate • Student’s Book units 2C to 6 • Workbook units 2C to 6 In Class • If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will be marked “absent” for that hour and the teacher will not let you into the class. Please come back for the next hour of class. • Please switch off your mobile phone before the class begins. • Please do not eat or drink anything (except water) in class. • You must bring all your books to every class. If you do not have the right book, the teacher can ask you to leave the class. • You must attend at least 60% of class hours to pass the course. There are no justified absences. Assessment • Please check the dates and rooms for your first (mid term), second (final) and third (mejoramiento) assessments on the sistema académico. • If you do not take the exam or class test on the established date, you will receive a grade of ZERO for that exam or test. The teacher will not give you surprise tests – you will always know in advance when there is an exam or test. • The first and second assessments are worth 65 points. The other 35 points come from the oral exam, class tests, homework, projects etc. The third assessment is worth 100 points. • Each exam lasts 2 hours. In the listening section you will hear the CD two times only. Computer Laboratory • You should do Units 10 to 12 on the Face2Face Elementary software and Units 1 to 6 on the Face2Face Pre-Intermediate software. • The laboratory is not mandatory anymore. You will not get any extra point nor will you be penalised for not doing the laboratory hours. • Labs will be open from the third week of October 2010. The software to practice is available in Centauro Lab (Biblioteca Central-Prosperina), Laboratorio A and B (Celex-Campus Las Peñas) and in your Faculty.
