Expanders can be supplied as single or multistage variants for axial or radial configurations. They are used in coal and oil gasification plants, nitric acid plants, therephthalic acid plants, fluid catalytic cracking plants, and blast furnace top gas plants. Process-gas screw compressors are oil-free and used where contaminated gases would curtail other compressor types. They attain flows up to 100,000 m3/h and pressures to 50 bar in refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical production, oil and gas production, iron and steel plants, and mining.

Expander
Expanders can be supplied as single- and multistage variants, in axial or radial configurations.
With maximum inlet temperatures of up to 760 °C, an inlet pressure of 16 bar and outputs of
up to 30 MW, they can be connected to a generator or directly to the machinery train.
They are preferably used in:
Coal and oil gasification plants (including IGCC)
Nitric acid plants
Therephthalic acid plants
Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) plants
Residual Catalytic Cracking (RCC) plants
Blast furnace top gas plants.
Process-Gas Screw Compressor
Process-Gas Screw Compressors are used in all applications where heavily contaminated
components in gases and gas mixtures would curtail the life of other types of compressors. Their
low speed of rotation permits direct injection of large quantities of liquid.
These oil-free compressors attain volume flows of up to 100,000 m³/h and an outlet pressure of
50 bar.
They are used in innumerable applications:
Refineries
Petrochemical plants
Chemical production plants
Oil and gas production
Plants for iron and steel production
Mining.
