This document discusses using blockchain technology for crowd funding to increase trust between investors and fundraisers. Currently, trust is a key issue in crowd funding as there is risk of fraud. The authors propose a blockchain-based crowd funding platform using Ethereum that allows for decentralized, fast, and secure transactions. This would automate the crowd funding process and ensure funds go to the intended recipient through the use of smart contracts. The platform would register both investors and fundraisers, allow investors to donate funds to projects, and disburse funds in a verified manner once fundraising goals are met. In conclusion, blockchain could improve crowd funding by tokenizing assets and maintaining the positives of existing platforms while enabling trustless transactions.
