Emergency response app

(NASA Neighborhood Protect) What’s it all about
● One person from each Neighborhood will be selected.
● In the App, it will be their job to scan each of the houses in the neighborhood
after a natural disaster.
● After each scan, the app will let you know how many people live there and
who is in the house and assess who needs help.
● This App will inform Emergency response units which houses contain people
who need help in the case of an emergency or natural disaster.
Persona 1
● The lead community volunteer will use NASA Neighborhood
Protect to assess and inform the emergency services which
houses have people who need help.
User Journey App 1
User Journey Explained
● Once the app is opened, the user will be greeted to a Login page.
● The user will have to enter their username and zipcode of the neighborhood.
● Once logged in the user will be greeted to a page with one button; SCAN
● From there the user scans the first house in his neighborhood.
● The scan will record the address of the house.
● The next screen will allow the user to enter any information on missing or injured occupants.

● NASA will use this app to scan their space shuttles before a big launch.
● The app will inform them if there is something wrong, such as a Gas leak
● A message will be sent to the designated NASA scientist who will alert
emergency services.

● The NASA engineer in charge of final checks of the space shuttle

User Journey Explained
App 2
● Once the App is opened, the user will be greeted and asked to Log in with his or her NASA
credentials.
● Once logged in, the user can scan the space shuttle before launch.
● From there the user will be shown the results of the scan. Anything wrong will be highlighted.
● The information will then be sent to another NASA scientist who can alert the emergency
services.
