- 2. EXT.OUTSIDE TERRACE HOUSE.NIGHT Myles a very smiley, charismatic 17 year old black lad stands outside a house. Thumping music and some noises can be heard. Myles takes a drag of his cigarette. A door opens and DAN a large slicked black haired 17 year old dressed in a black hoody and scarf exits the party MYLES Where the fuck have you been? DAN does not respond and Myles starts to walk off. EXT.LONELY BUS STOP Dan and Myles reach the bus stop Dan lights a cigarette. We see that there is only one bus left to come. George enters, he has a cocky walk, he is 6ft2 dressed in a leather jacket, black jeans, has short black hair, he looks like a rebel. George walks to the bus stop and checks is phone. (cont’d) fuck! allow this George looks Dan up and down, George walks over to Myles and stands in between Dan and Myles GEORGE Alright Myles MYLES hi George (reluctant). still fucking about? GEORGE yeah course, you still being a dork Myles doesn’t respond George then turns to Dan GEORGE oi Dan wanna give me a cig. DAN don’t have any GEORGE shut up you’ve got one in your mouth, (raises voice) set me one (CONTINUED)
- 3. CONTINUED: 2. DAN I don’t have any. Dan gives George a belligerent smile then takes a pull of his cigarette George approaches Dan looking very intimidating, standing over him. (cont’d) George just fuck off George pushes Dan by his shoulder. EXT.LONELY BUS STOP MYLES George just move on stop being a prick, hes never done anything to you GEORGE shut up, we all know that’s not true, Dan give me a cig now! George pushes Dan again. Myles then grabs George by the shirt. George grabs Myles shirt. GEORGE what are you gonna do, you’re a bitch you wont do anything. MYLES its better than being a dropout with no friends. Myles lets go of George and steps back. George then throws a punch at Myles’ face. Last bus is approaching from a distance but the characters are too involved with each other. George and Myles are both swinging at each other. The bus drives past them. DAN shit! that’s our bus! George and Myles stop and watch the bus drive past. (CONTINUED)
- 4. CONTINUED: 3. GEORGE shit! fuck you! you made me miss my bus. all three characters are standing round the bus stop. George and Myles staring at each other with angry faces. GEORGE well we’re screwed, how am i meant to get home now. Dan walks over to Myles DAN Myles lets gt a cab MYLES got any money? DAN nope MYLES no cab then, where are we GEORGE I’m fucked DAN We’re fucked MYLES come lets go sort this out Myles and Dan walk off together DAN lets just follow the bus stops George is standing at the bus stop but starts to walk in the same direction. EXT. EMPTY STREET George is walking 10 steps behind Myles and Dan MYLES oi fuck off (shouting) DAN i know hes a prick but its late and quite a dodgy area and I’d rather (MORE) (CONTINUED)
- 5. CONTINUED: 4. DAN (cont’d) walk with as many people as possible, maybe he’s changed MYLES i doubt it, but i would feel more comfortable with more of us as well. (shouting back) okay fine but hurry up George then runs and joins Dan and Myles EXT.EMPTY STREET George Myles and Dan are walking down an empty road. A man walks out of an alley, he looks older than the other three, around 24. he is dressed in all black he stops them in their path. MAN yo can one of you let me borrow your phone quickly. DAN don’t have any signal sorry the man looks at Dan, focusing on him mainly. MAN i just want to check the time George checks his watch GEORGE its 2:37, that good enough for you? MAN nope. i need to check something. the man approaches Dan, looking very scary. MAN oi mate give me your phone! GEORGE fuck this! George swings and hits the man in the face. the man is knocked to the floor and Myles Dan and George all start to run.
- 6. 5. EXT. EMPTY STREET the three characters are running away from the man, Dan is slower than George and Myles. you can see the man getting up and starting to chase them in the distance. George looks and sees that Dan is slowing down. GEORGE OI YOU TWO TAKE A RIGHT HERE!!! all three characters take a quick right down a side road. EXT. BACK ROAD the three characters split up and hide behind cars and bins. the man runs down the road stops and looks around MAN where the fuck are you! the man walks right past where Dan is hiding. the man walks off shouting MAN if i find you, you’re all dead! EXT. BACK ROAD all three characters emerge from their hiding spots and meet in the middle of the road. MYLES that was bloody close. all three characters start to laugh. GEORGE come on we should keep going, we’ve still got like an hour and a half to walk until we get home. the characters continue to walk EXT. EMPTY STREET GEORGE well that was fun, just like old times (CONTINUED)
- 7. CONTINUED: 6. MYLES we never did anything like that GEORGE what do you mean, we were always doing reckless shit, until... MYLES (cut him off)so what have you been doing recently GEORGE you know the usual, just messing about, playing xbox, going to the occasional party, hows all that school work bull MYLES its good me and Dan have both got places at UCL GEORGE what the hell is that DAN its a university? (sarcastic) GEORGE fuck that, why would you wanna do that MYLES because we both want to do well with our lives, that was the whole point of what happened, I didn’t want to continue messing around taking the piss out of strangers, pretending to be a shitty gangster, doing nothing with my life Dan has a very suprised look on his face. GEORGE oh... George looks down
- 8. 7. EXT. EMPTY STREET WITH BENCH all three characters walk past a bench but Dan sits down. MYLES Dan what are you doing? DAN I cant continue, I need a break its too cold to walk. George and Myles sit down on either side of Dan MYLES come on, we are so close its only like half an hour then we will be home. DAN i cant move its too cold to do anything. GEORGE here take this George hands Dan his coat DAN are you sure you wont be cold? GEORGE don’t worry about it, I’ll be fine DAN thanks man, i really appreciate this. all three characters stand up and continue to walk. EXT. OUTSIDE MYLES’ HOUSE The three characters approach Myles’ house. Dan and Myles stop. DAN thanks for the jacket man Dan hands Georges coat back to him GEORGE no worries Dan then gives George his last cigarette
