Interior of NERF Hammershot
Modeled for Mechanical Design
(ME 3614) at Virginia Tech
Program used: Autodesk
Inventor
FEA Model of Assembly for
Capstone Senior Design (ME 4016)
at Virginia Tech.
Completed 2/20/15
Program used: Autodesk Inventor
CFD Model of a cabinet with components generating
over 3KW of heat energy. The image on the left
shows airflow through the cabinet as well its change
in temperature. The image below models the speed
of air outflow based on the number and
configuration of inlet fans.
Completed for The Center for Vehicle and Systems
Safety (CVeSS) at Virginia Tech over the summer of
2014
Programs used: Autodesk Inventor, Simulation CFD,
and Simulation Multiphysics.
Above: CFD Model of air flowing over a
spoiler mounted to the back of a truck.
This model was used for Capstone
Senior design (ME 4016) to validate
that the spoiler assembly would
generate a downwash effect.
Programs Used: Autodesk Flow Design
Left: Dynamic model of a simple
assembly. The floating shaft was given
an arbitrary torque and the assembly
moved the spring accordingly.
Programs Used: Autodesk Inventor
(Dynamic Simulation)
