This document provides an overview of the Wyllie Fire & Rescue Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS) operation training course. The objectives are to explain how the CAFS operates, components of the system, causes of damage from driver error, and demonstrate proper operational sequence. The system used is a Waterous Eclipse 1750 GPM pump with CAFS. The components include the pump, foam proportioning system, rotary screw compressor, and clutch drive system. The operational procedure and causes of damage are described. Monitoring gauges, controls, and proper use of the system are outlined. General pump information and maintenance is also reviewed.
