The Calcutta Times bash was held on July 25, 2005 at the Hyatt Regency Kolkata. The event invited 1400 celebrities from Bollywood and Tollywood. The menu featured continental cuisine like salads and barbequed items along with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. 43 staff members were allocated by the Banquet Department, including 8 waiters at the buffet counter, 3 waiters at the bar, 8 waiters circulating snacks, 7 waiters circulating drinks, 7 waiters for clearance, 6 waiters at the water counter, 2 team leaders, an assistant manager, and manager.
