Simware provides an open simulation platform to test naval combat systems. Navantia, a European combat management system integrator, used Simware to build a test site for its CATIZ system. The test site allows seamless interoperability between DDS, DIS and HLA simulations and the core of the CATIZ system. Simware provides a common platform to integrate different protocols and standards in the test site and manages real-time exchange of simulation data using DDS.

Reservados todos los derechos / All Rights Resedved Project in Brief THE PROBLEM • Combat Management Systems (CMS) are integrated more tan built nowadays •Many types of simulators and hardware must interoperate in the same network •HW in the loop (HIL) simulation demands real time conditions in the network THE SOLUTION • Build the test‐site using an open distributed simulation architecture based on Simware. •Provide a common platform to integrate different protocols and standards in the test‐site •Manage the exchange of simulation data in real time using OMG DDS CASE IN POINT •Navantia, a lead european CMS integrator has used Simware to build the test‐site for one of its CMS, CATIZ •CATIZ test‐site allows seamless interoperability between DDS, DIS and HLA simulation with the core of the CMS.
