This document discusses the anatomy of the cerebral hemispheres. It describes the three surfaces, three borders, and three poles of each hemisphere. Each hemisphere is then divided into four lobes: frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital. The major sulci and gyri of each lobe are defined, including their locations and functions. The central sulcus, lateral sulcus, precentral and postcentral gyri containing motor and sensory areas are described on the frontal and parietal lobes. The temporal lobe contains the superior, middle, and inferior temporal gyri and sulci with auditory processing areas. The occipital lobe has the lunate and lateral occipital sulci surrounding visual areas 17-19.
