Compliance Online Training Global Competition (INT406)
DAVID LEONEL SANTACRUZ
(david.santacruz@siemens.com / Z000APQY)

Training Content:
Countries with free markets often have laws to protect consumers and ensure that companies compete fairly. This course
focuses on the general principles common to the different systems of competition law found in many countries. First you
will explore the threshold issue of whether an agreement that restricts competition exists. Then the course will introduce
you to different types of agreements between companies, some that are always illegal and others that are considered
illegal if the harm to competition and consumers outweighs the benefit. Finally, you will learn about how a dominant
company, by itself, can also violate competition laws when it abuses its market power.
