- 14. Tip 3: Work from Solid Foundations • Be clear on the expectations of your role • Apply core tools and approach, every time and talk about how they help, not the tools themselves • Flexible approach • Leverage the skills you have already developed, perhaps from other disciplines 14
- 15. Tip 4: Use your Gut and Back It Up • Pick up on the underlying issues or themes • Go get the data that either clarifies the issue or dispels it – hard and soft data • Good coaching and network helps here, too 15
