Importance of Chemistry to
        Daily Life
Chemistry
• Chemistry is the study of matter energy , and the changes they undergo.

• Chemistry is basic tool used extensively in the fields of
  ecology,agriculture,engineering,photography,metallurgy,nutrition, medici
  ne, dentistry and many others.

• Chemistry is a body of systematized knowledge gained from
  observation, study and experimentation.

By studying chemistry you will be able to understand the nature of the
materials around you an the changes they undergo.
Role of Chemistry in Society and Industry
Studying chemistry has many social benefits:
     •Food
     •Clothing
     •Building materials
     •Medicine

That are the necessary in our daily life are products of the application of
chemical knowledge. Many of the materials used in such fields as:

     •Architecture
     •Engineering
     •Nuclear science

The results of the work of chemists. Without these and other innovations our
ways of life would be radically different.
Contribution of Chemistry to Other
               Sciences
• Chemistry involves a broad scope of both intellectual and experimental
activities. Various opportunities exist for those who wish to pursue career
in chemistry as a chemist, chemical engineer or chemical laboratory
  technician.

• Chemical engineers are chemists with engineering training. They
concerned usually with large scale industrial processes.

• Biochemist are responsible for the research on the detection of the life
span of living organisms that affect the body chemistry and the response
  to good health and nutrition.
• Industrial chemists provide information on the manufacture of
construction materials such as plasters, synthetics, gravel and
  sand, cement wood, etc.

• Environmental chemists take care of our environment while agricultural
chemists are involved in the study of agricultural products like
rice, corn, vegetables, meat poultry and livestock's.

• Food chemists test food quality and also make chemicals that help food
  from spoiling.
Tasks of a Chemist
• Research is an on- going process in all sciences. Because of chemical
research will continue to make valuable contribution contributions to
  human progress.

• Chemical research promises a brighter and productive future for all. To be
a chemist is to be an architect of the future.

• One of the major tasks of a chemist is using facts to build models or
provide explanations to predict future observations

• Another is testing models and explanations. Testing serves to confirm the
  validity of scientific concepts.
