- 2. Ackshiro The son of smokewisp, and seemingly the epitome of indifference. Hates his sister, and she hates him. Makes a pack of souls with Patch, giving him a physical form … for a price..
- 3. Aki Aki is a young Akuji. He has a sister, Shieko, and a brother, Furlett, but he doesn’t know this upon the story beginning. He falls in love with Ro, and together they escape the city they live in, discovering the secret that it was a trap. Aki is a happy-go-lucky kid, with few cares or worries, and a fairly level head. He cares very much about the people he meets, and has little regard for dangers they meet along the way. Named after Ackshiro, the son of Smokewisp.

Apocracy Apocracy is a mysterious demon that appears to Wyatt as a small and seemingly harmless figment of her imagination, but the shape shifter grows and warps over time until it becomes part of her, making her a demon too, and controlling her actions. Apocracy desires to possess oops in hopes of getting power over Doki’s actions.
- 5. Doki Doki is the war monster Oops was separated from. He is forced into a coma like state by his creators, who intend to use him later for evildoing. Apocracy desires this power, and so slowly takes the mind of a human girl named Wyatt, transforming her into a demon and possessing her. Doki is killed in the end through Oops being killed by Kiba.
- 6. Furlett Another akuji affected by the human invasion, Furlett was experimented on, mainly in his brain. His brain was tweaked to hone his intelligence, and so from the moment he was set free, he began getting smarter than everything and everyone around him, figuring out all manner of mathematical anomalies. Furlett’s brain, like oops’s, filters in a different type of energy waves, so his vision is a chaotic static when he isn't covering his eyes. So he wears things over his eyes, generally, but his eyes are purple. He can also see via sonar, like a bat. Furlett is Aki’s younger brother, although his genes have been tweaked to the point where he doesn’t look like his siblings at all.

Gishtunkenflat Another hybrid creation the humans scrapped, Gishtunkenflat is a powerful fighter, but has lost his mind entirely and lives in a delusional hallucinated world most of the time and as such finds his powers as little use. He is generally very happy and carefree, and can’t speak words but uses sounds to share what he is feeling. He sports the blood of a deinonychus, miscellaneous dogs, and a few other genetic tweaks.
- 8. Kiba Kiba is a Black Cat demon, one of the story’s main characters. Raised in a family that paid him little attention, He learned for the most part to be by himself. He meets Meppi one day on the ice of a lake near his home, and falls through trying to save her. The Leviathan king saves them, and he promises Meppi that he will travel with her until she finds the place the Leviathan, he father, wanted her to go. He loses an eye and Meppi not long after, and goes crazy in the wastelands around the spikewolves colony. He is generally quiet and polite, doesn’t have much to say, and is downright emotionless whenever the sun is present. He finds solace at night with his friend, patch, and they become quite close, bringing color back into Kiba’s head.
- 9. Leviathan An entity of the ocean, about whom little is known.
- 10. Meppi Daughter of the Leviathan, Meppi is Kiba’s first companion. They travel together until they meet silvermoon, who thinks meppi is the daughter of Smokewisp, Roshiro. Upon being separated from Kiba, she travels south and finds the temple of the ocean, where she holes herself up and lives in solitude for a long time.
- 11. Oops Byproduct of a hybrid war monster, Oops is the peaceful half of Doki’s mind and soul, and so without Oops, Doki is in an unstoppable confusion and rage. Oops feels Doki’s pains and emotions, but stays on a definite level of calmness no matter what the situation.
- 12. Owlolly Created in the same facility that created Oops and Doki and Gishtunkenflat, Owlolly is a fierce mutation that seems a lot scarier than he is.
- 13. Patch Patch is a ghost from earth in search of his little sister, who he doesn’t know is also dead. He makes a deal with a cat demon (ackshiro) for a physical form in kakourii, where he meets Kiba and the others. They become friends, and soon Patch gives Kiba a reason to love life, in friendship.
- 14. Shieko Older sister of Aki, Shieko’s story begins when she meets Vadiko, who has been reduced to being little more than a bloodied corpse. She falls in love with him, but then when all their group meets and goes on their journey, Vadiko is caught by an enchanted wood’s curse and turned to stone.
- 15. Silvermoon Born in a brainwashed society, Silvermoon is a trained warrior, the claws and teeth of the spikewolf leader, Zietol. For a special assignment, zietol teaches Silvermoon how to control bursts of higly concentrated energy, a seemingly magic blast of power. This new concept of energy mixed with the isolation he faces while searching for his targets outside the colony’s lands, makes him start to doubt the things he had been taught.
- 16. Smoke Wisp The leader of the immortal deities that are assumed gods in Kakourri. His appearance is very simple, being only different shades of grey, and he reserves speech for only when it is absolutely necessary. Many creatures think he is a cruel and uncaring deity, but in reality he is the essence of all balance in the energy systems on Kakourii. This is a hefty responsibility, but this usually makes him look like he is snoozing, making people think he is lazy. The shades of grey in his fur change to represent the flow on energy on the global scale.
- 17. Storro Self proclaimed king of the world, Storro also had work done on his brain, alongside his twin brother. While his brother’s brain was adapted to introvert, Storro did the opposite and became outgoing to the point where he can’t hide anything, kinda like aspergers syndrome. Storro is met in the spikewolf dungeon.
- 18. Swiftclaw Cometwolf A mysterious immortal that appears in the spikewolf’s dungeon to help the heroes escape. A shapeshifter, this creature is usually seen as either a canine dragon or a wolf. Real name unknown, named for his nearly unmatched speed and swiftness, along with his cometlike colours.
- 19. Ro Ro is Aki’s friend from the city Tahl Benor, although she was made fun of for it. Ro is named after Roshiro, the daughter of SMokewisp.
- 20. Roshiro Daughter of Smokewisp, contemptibly so.
- 21. Vadiko Vadiko is an exceptionally strange Akuji, mostly because he is the only one amongst them who knows that he was experimented on. He doesn’t share this knowledge for a long time with anybody but Shieko, because he doesn’t think people will believe him. He falls in love with shieko, and when escaping from the forest,he sacrifices falling behind and being turned to stone to save shieko from the same.
- 22. Vitesse The god of speed, doesn’t play much part as of yet.
