- 2. Candy Chang is an artist who believes in using public spaces as a forum for public art to improve our communities and ourselves.
- 3. After she began to question the limitations of sharing wisdom and resources within the neighborhood, she turned these questions into experiments in public space to share more with neighbors
- 4. She then created “I wish this was”, a street art project that invites people in the community to write what they want on vacant storefronts.
- 5. After losing a very important person in her life, Candy began to think about death and how much she appreciated life. Candy thought of how easy it can be to get caught up in the day to day and lose sight of what really matters to you, so she turned a side of this abandoned building……….
- 6. Into a giant chalkboard, creating her project, “Before I Die”, allowing anyone walking by the opportunity to share their personal lives and aspirations in a public space. “Before I Die” has become a worldwide project.
- 7. Candy Captivated the audience with her personal story and images of all types of people in the community sharing their ideas and thoughts.
- 8. Dynamism Rating: 5 out of 5 I believe Candy did an amazing job, she captivated the audience through her images and story and also shared a vision while keeping true to herself
- 9. Candy followed tips from Garr Reynolds by using eye opening images to capture her audience.
- 10. Candy taught me how important it is to share not only your story with your audience but also who you are as a person
- 11. Comparing and Contrasting Candy Chang Sir Ken Robinson To
- 12. Sir Ken Robinson is a very precise and eloquent speaker that teaches you in a very fascinating and humorous way.
- 13. Whereas Candy Chang takes a much more personal approach that feels more like she is sharing with the audience rather than teaching.
- 14. Candy does an amazing job of sharing her vision and passion while coming off extremely vulnerable to the audience.
- 15. My advice to my classmates would be to either find something they are passionate about or find the ability to convey their message in a passionate way .
