This document discusses the advantages and disadvantages of migration for both destination and home countries. The advantages of migration for destination countries include cheap labor from migrants working in unskilled jobs, contributions from highly skilled migrants, and cultural diversity. However, disadvantages include locals losing jobs, increased racism and discrimination, changes to local culture and traditions, higher prices, and disease outbreaks. For home countries, remittances sent back by migrants are advantageous, as are more job opportunities for locals and knowledge sharing. However, skilled labor loss, decreased demand for local goods, and social impacts on families left behind are disadvantages.
