CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR
HAS WORSENED
Has Child Behavior Worsened?

“STOP PICKING ON ME”
For the last few decades, there have been an increase
of children with behavioral problems in school.
It seems there will always be that one bully in the
classroom that every student tries to stay away from,
or the few children in the back of the room doodling
on their desk instead of taking notes.
Who is to blame?
I DISAGREE
• I believe that behavior in the classroom
may have worsened, but can be easily
fixed if people would take the time to
actually care.
• So, who is to blame?
• Parents
• Teachers
PARENTS
• Misbehaving children do not only
misbehave in the classroom, but also at
home. The parents need to take action
and discipline the children when they
are acting up. Just like adults get
disciplined when they do not follow the
law, children must follow the rules, as
well. When they do not follow the rules,
there are consequences.
TEACHERS
Not all parents are perfect. So, when a child is acting up
in the classroom, the teachers cannot let it slide and
continue with a screaming child in the back or paper
planes flying around. Teachers must discipline the
students just the same way a parent would.
Some examples would be:
• Time out
• Write an essay on how the student will not do it again
• Principle’s office
REWARDS
Everybody loves rewards!
When a student follows the rules and behaves well,
there should be a reward given.
My sixth grade teacher was always one to reward her
students. For every day the students were good, a
marble would go into a small mason jar. When the
marbles were full, and the next marble falls out of the
jar, she throws us a pizza party that following Friday!
This pizza party made us students want to behave.
