The document presents a protocol called CLBNSRM, which focuses on confidence-based neighbor selection and optimized route formation in mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) to address routing challenges posed by selfish nodes. The protocol employs fuzzy optimization for estimating node confidence and aims to ensure minimal energy utilization while increasing packet delivery ratio and throughput even in the presence of malicious nodes. Experimental results indicate that this approach outperforms traditional protocols by effectively managing trust and enhancing routing efficiency.
