- 1. Task 1 unit 4,5,24,31 By Ben Goldstone Client information The London Borough of Redbridge is in the North of London. They have created a brief and issued it to the community, The Labour party won the 2014. The current labour leader is Jas Athwal. Redbridge have different policies about them such as recycling. Local councils are responsible for certain duties such as collecting waste, recycling and keeping the streets clean. Their decisions should be made to best suit the general public because they want to maintain their electoral lead. The population of Redbridge was recorded at 278,970. In common with the other London boroughs this continues a period of growth; between the 1991 and 2001 censuses the increase was 7.5% with a further rise of 15.3% by 2011. Children Redbridge is estimated to have 67,500 persons aged between 0 and 15 (23% of the total population) Working age Redbridge is estimated to have 193,000 persons aged between 16 and 64 years of age (65% of the total population) Retirement age Redbridge is estimated to have 36,200 persons aged 65 and upwards (12% of the total population) Primary secondary Structure of the brief The clients we are working for are the local community, we would need an informal agreement. If you don't have a signed agreement with someone then you can't control them the way you want to. Which means it's extremely important to have an agreement.
- 2. Task 1 unit 4,5,24,31 By Ben Goldstone Without having a contract this then means you can choose how it's done in any way with no one to stop you. As the brief is informal it means we have a lot more control. You have the final say for the entire brief if there's no contract. Safety is extremely important for us too as we will be filming in public places. We need to tell me the correct information as crime is a very important thing to be aware of crime as statistics show a crime is committed in England and Wales every five seconds, according to police today. I’ve tried to find out if you can get dogs to search for knives, but they told me it was impossible. You can do it for guns but not for knives. We have been informed that a competition is involved which means that we have to make ours the best we can make it. If our project is the best it would be broadcasted which would mean our project will be big and people will know about us. Once we get people to be involved with the project we would be competing against other people that we feel we can beat and be popular than them. If a competition is going to be involved it would be better for us because all of us would have the urge to work harder to become the most popular and well known. Everyones wants to be well known and be on television as they would firstly make more money and secondly they would be the most popular. I think that having a competition is really important to have as it can help young people to educate people for when they are looking for university, finding jobs and work experience. Purpose of project Our purpose for this project is to get people to be aware with what’s happening about knife crime in the general public. Our aim is for the public change their attitudes and their behaviour after being told what is happening. As part of our aim objectives is to present solutions involving the community and providing people with good information. If there's a common issue or problem in the community around them it means cohesion because if they fix the issue it means that the community are close together or they are becoming closer. We need to change the way people see crime and make sure they get a clear understanding to make sure they're aware, we want people’s views to change. If a crime happens which is what our brief is and what our project is going to be about as we think people need to be more aware about as it's happening a lot more recently,

Task 1 unit 4,5,24,31 By Ben Goldstone as its very dangerous its need to be shown more and said more for people understand what they need to keep out for as there are some crazy people out there. The main purpose is to bring people together and make them become aware of what's happening in the community and so that we can bring them together. Surveillance is another purpose which is basically related to Blumler and Katz's uses and gratifications theory in 1974. This means that people get information from other places in the world and regional areas. The BBC have paranormal which started being aired and produced in 1953. This was to show issues that were happening and current affairs of the country or the entire world. Opportunities offered The experience of raising awareness and the whole project gives people a huge amount of opportunities, which include discovering and expanding knowledge about the local area or what the project is about. As we have to do a 8-10 minutes social project it's a massive challenge for us and it would really change our opinion on things and our knowledge will improve a lot better. The task is a really big task there’s so much to include and we have to get it right. It would look really good on my CV as this is something they like to see. If i was going to university when i leave high school or going for a big job that includes knowledge about the local area it would push me right up ahead of other people because it would mean i know how to plan, research and edit the video to the best it can be. Planning is very important and everything has to be perfect otherwise things can go wrong. This first project would give me more experience for next time. Communication skills and social skills is very important to have when doing a video like this because i need to speak to the public in a professional way, i need to talk to them nicely otherwise they wouldn't want to speak to me and they might take it as a joke when it's serious. But i need to have communication skills for everyday life and social skills as this would be needed at university or a job. For the project i need to talk to random strangers that might have a completely different attitude to me which means i need to be confident and talk to people that i feel have the right attitude. I also need to communicate well to understand what they have said properly. Having confidence is one of the most important thing people need in everyday life when a job comes around they're only looking for people that can talk to people loud clear and be comfortable with what they're saying. If you have a job where you are trying to sell something to another company and you need to sell it then you need to have confidence to present it and speak to them like you want it badly for a reasonable price.
- 4. Task 1 unit 4,5,24,31 By Ben Goldstone Another very important skills that I need to have is to be able to approach someone. When I need to approach someone anywhere in the area. I need to use my body language and to speak the correct language without an attitude or incase I come off rude someone the way they see it. I need to look professional back up right, smile, be happy as can be, be confident to give as much information as I can to the stranger and to be able to answer questions they have. As my group have five people we need to approach someone but only one or two of us should go over so the stranger can only focus on us it would also look better with less people and we can all have a turn to speak to strangers. Organisation is also another very important skills to have. For the planning if i’m not organised then there's a high possibility things will be wrong and fall apart. Time management is something that my group need to watch out for. As the project will go on the pace will gradually bring it self forward quicker. Once i've had more experience of knowing how to do it it will be quicker to do. Depending on the deadline of when it has to be we will plan to get it done in time. We need to make sure we have enough time to edit and get it done in time. In the last couple of years i have used cameras in the last projects we have completed, we have completed a music video, short horror film and a horror trailer which has given me so much practice to film and edit which is a boost to this project and it will be easier to do with the practice we have had. I have done all the pre production planning in my last couple of projects which means I will be able to write scripts, help with storyboards and all the other things that i have experienced with already. In all the projects I have completed, teamwork skills are important and we have to always use them as we have always been in groups of three to six.
