The students went to the post office to mail letters they had written to Olympians. They then explored the shopping center and looked at different hand basins in a tile and bathroom shop. On the way home, they stopped at Mrs. Flannigan's to buy almond meal, which they had to scoop and weigh. There was also dried fruit for sale, and while all liked dried mango, only Freya liked dried pawpaw that Mrs. Rogers bought for them to taste.

- 3. Shopping Today we went to post the letters we wrote to the Olympians. We got some stamps from the office and walked to the shops.
- 4. After we posted the letters we explored the shopping centre.
- 5. On the way home we looked at the tile and bathroom shop. There were lots of different shaped hand basins.
- 6. We went to Mrs Flannigan’s to buy some almond meal for cooking. We had to scoop it into a bag and weigh it.
- 7. There was lots of different dried fruit for sale. Mrs Rogers bought some dried mango and some dried pawpaw for us to taste.
- 8. We all liked the dried mango. Freya liked the dried pawpaw too but Eve and Marzia did NOT!
- 9. We walked back to school and it was morning tea time.
