COMO is a tangible device that teaches children
to recognize healthy and unhealthy food from the
physical transformations Como experiences when
scanning and recognizing food.

Como is a project that takes place in schools along a terms with
children aging between 6-10.
como




Teachers present the project to children as an exercise, explaining the
goal of it: learning to select healthy and unhealthy food while monitoring the
average index of nutrients intake of the class. Every week a children is encharged of Como.
Children are given Como for a week time, so that they learn by themselves
(with help of Como) to identify food according to its nutritional qualities.

Como works with a food recognition system and Code-Bar
system in order to read the food.                            +
Como is a gure, neither a person, nor an animal. It’s a friend that
deforms its body informed by the nutritional intake of food exagerating the
e ects by either staying “thin”, becoming ill, or gaining weight.
Children learn from the shape Como takes, if the food they are choosing to take is healthy
or not (for them).
Como is a friend... it cares about children... and parents!
