This document discusses congestion control and Quality of Service (QoS) improvement in the Adaptive Energy Efficient Routing (AEERG) protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) by evaluating four queuing disciplines: FIFO, Priority Queuing (PQ), Random Early Detection (RED), and Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ). The authors present NS-2 simulation results comparing these techniques based on queuing delay, packet drop rate, and end-to-end delay. The findings highlight the effectiveness of different queuing mechanisms in managing network traffic and improving reliability and performance.
