CONQUER About Conquest – The Business Challenge Started in 2004 as an intra-BITS business challenge, it has now grown into an international business challenge drawing entries from Asia, Europe ,USA and Africa Extensive mentoring and networking with BITS Alumni and VCs Impressive track record - 3 out of 4 past winners have started up Occupies a prominent place in the Business Plan Competition directory by www.smallbusinessnotes.com , a comprehensive guide for web users searching for Business Plan Competitions around the world. Conquest 2008 will be a more than just a world-class Business Plan Competition. It will feature a showcase of the latest technological innovation happening at BITS Pilani, as well as a celebration of Rural and Social Entrepreneurs in and around our campus.

FROM ALCOVE TO ACME Key Achievements Startups The BITSian team ‘ Mobile Medics ’ which won Conquest 2005, went on to win a series of global B-Plan contests like the Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC), Asia Moot Challenge, Lorne A Weil Outrageous B-Plan Competition (Columbia B-School). The team is currently incubated at the Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at BITS, and is setting up a pilot service in the villages near Pilani. Runners-up, Conquest 2005 -- ‘ Habits.in ’ started-up immediately and is today a popular ‘edutainment’ web forum ( www.habits.in ). Sasi Kanth, the CEO of the venture was one of the 20 nominees for the ‘Best Asian Entrepreneur under 25’ poll conducted by BusinessWeek . iViz Technologies ( www.ivizindia.com ), a network security solution provider, clinched the winner’s cup at Conquest 2006, and over a year have setup offices in both India and the US. They boast of more than 20 clients including Berger Paints, Career Launcher.
