Paraguay (different from Uruguay)
Our Mission E nsure the conservation of Paraguay’s natural resources and promote sustainable agricultural practices throughout the country. Our Goal Raise awareness of the Paraguayan population about the major environmental problems facing the country: deforestation, soil degradation, water pollution, loss of biodiversity.
Nation-wide Media Campaign  “De Nosotros Depende”
 
What happened ?
Our Mission Ensure the conservation of Paraguay’s remaining natural resources and promote sustainable agricultural practices throughout the country. Our Campaign Goal Raise awareness  of the  Paraguayan population  about  the major environmental problems  facing the country: deforestation, soil degradation, water pollution, loss of biodiversity.

Setting a SMART Goal S pecific M easurable A ttainable R ealistic T angible
Americans for UNFPA We are seeking to secure the release of Congressionally-allocated funds that have been withheld by the U.S. Administration since 2002.
To ensure that U.S. funding for UNFPA is passed in Congress without the Kemp-Kasten Amendment language. A SMART Goal? √ T √ R √ A √ M √ S Not sure No Yes
Decision Makers Who do you ultimately need to influence or activate? You may or may not be able to reach them directly (and that’s fine!). Americans for UNFPA: members of the Foreign Ops Subcommittee of House and Senate.
 
Benchmarks = milestones signaling progress
Americans for UNFPA Benchmarks Succeeded  in presenting a united ‘ask’ through coalition’s efforts. Increased  constituent database by 30% in key districts prior to the bill’s consideration. Key members of Foreign Ops Subcommittee  reported hearing from constituents  at critical times prior to voting.
Capacity Building Benchmarks Developing  effective messaging Working effectively with  the media Building a working  coalition Growing a  constituency  or advocacy base Monitoring  legislation
Indicators Indicators are the road signs on the way to your benchmarks and ultimate goals.  They provide the evidence you need to know if you are heading in the right direction to meet your benchmarks
Evaluation Plan it at the beginning. Decide what you will evaluate.  Reach a mutual understanding with your grantmaker. Monitor your progress. Gather  data   and   stories . The story of your successes  and  of your failures.
