This document announces a cosplay contest sponsored by the Yates Anime Club on October 26th-30th. Contestants must send photos of their costumes to Ms. Hunter by October 26th for judging based on skill, presentation, and accuracy. Skill considers construction quality, presentation judges the photo quality, and accuracy is about identifying the character. Contestants must provide a link to the character they are portraying. Prizes include $20 to the school store.

Cosplay Contest 2020 A Teentober 2020 activity! Sponsored by Yates Anime Club
When ? October 26, 5:00 p.m.-Deadline for contestants to send photos to Ms. Hunter October 26- Ms. Hunter sends rubric and photos to judges October 29- Judges send results to Ms. Hunter October 29-30 -Prizes picked up or delivered
How? Skill- IS IT STURDY? How well is the costume constructed? More than 50% should be hand/self crafted.
How? Presentation HOW GOOD IS THE PHOTO ? Does background add or take away from overall presentation? Are parts of costume hidden? Lighting, focus, scale, etc...
How? Accuracy- WHO ARE YOU Can the judges identify the character by looking at the photo? How well does the costume match the actual character? Provide a link to a picture of the character? Example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnie_Mouse
Rules: Dean Cornelius and Ms. Hunter will approve questionable costumes. Costumes DO NOT have to be Anime. Sex, drugs, violence, profanity, hate, uncovered tights, politics… Prizes- $20 from school store
