-Fossil record
Follow-up questions
Procedure
10 mins
Introduce the project,
answer questions about
how/why, assign
random groups
1 class
period
Have groups decide
who is doing what,
what they will focus on,
and make a plan of
action due
1-2 class
periods
Research time- direct
towards organizing data
into “for” and “against”
1 class
period
Last work period,
groups will assign
speakers and organize
data
1 class
period
Debate day! Dress
clothes required:)
“Homework”
Now you get to experience the debate exercise
1. I will have you draw papers to decide groups
2. You may use your devices and previous knowledge to gather research
We will have an abbreviated debate at the end of the work time
