Picasa is a free photo organization and editing application that allows students to organize photos into albums, add captions, and share photos online or through print orders. Teachers can use Picasa to create slideshows of student work or field trips to share with parents. For example, middle school students can create a historical photo album by taking pictures in costume and applying effects to look old, and high school journalism students can keep photos for publications organized in Picasa.
