Avionics Maintenance Technician, RNAS Culdrose Sep 2014 - Present
• Responsible for fault diagnosis and fault rectification of avionic components, ensuring
recovery of unserviceable items from front line operations and working with multiple targets
to meet front line output capability. Working with a small team, communication and high
awareness of current environment output was imperative. All work was carried out to a
stringent standard and adhering to health and safety legislation, resulting in maximum
component availability to the customer.
• Trusted working unsupervised, components needed to be rectified under the correct
wiring/avionic diagrams and in accordance with precision termination tooling and
procedures. Problem solving by a step by step approach, an array of testing had to be
carried out calculating the voltage, amplitude and resistance throughout the component
under test to find and rectify the fault.
• Taking on extra additional roles, the recording of the components rectification on paper and
electronic was appointed due to having a high level of system and process knowledge.

• Responsible for taking charge of unsupervised aircraft flight servicing, scheduled
maintenance tasks and relevant aircraft paperwork as well as on occasion being responsible
for downloading and uploading highly secretive decryptions for the aircrafts communication
systems and GPS.
• Directly involved in avionic systems, technical repairs and aircraft maintenance, including
but not limited to fault diagnoses and subsequent fault rectification under supervision.
• Worked in a small team of engineers on deployment in Afghanistan, in arduous conditions
for prolonged periods of time, keeping the serviceability of aircraft high for operational

• Employed with authorisation to perform weapon loading with supervision, including removal
and replacement of high-risk explosive cartridges and external explosive equipment.
• As a more experienced member of the team, trusted with the responsibility of organising
weekly Foreign Object Debris (FOD) sweeps of both the operational runway and hangar, co-
coordinating of both senior managers and junior level colleagues.
