Sep 1999- Research Assistant. Worked under Dr. David Yarowsky on methods for maximizing minimal resources for
          various domains in natural language processing, including base noun phrase chunking, part-of-speech
          tagging and prepositional-phrase attachment. Methods investigated include linguistic rule construction and
          active learning.
1997-99 Research Assistant. Worked under Dr. Eric Brill on classifier diversification and combination on various
          natural language applications, including part-of-speech tagging, word-sense disambiguation and context-
          sensitive spelling correction.
