1.1 National Maize Research Program (NMRP), Rampur (Feb, 2011 to till date):
 Breeding for abiotic (drought, low N & heat) stress tolerance and hybrid maize.
 Carryout basic and applied research on drought, low N and heat stress tolerance maize
 Handle the research project on hybrid maize in collaboration with different partners
 Data analysis, report writing and presentation at various seminars/workshops
1.2 National Wheat Research Program (NWRP), Bhairahawa (June, 2010 to Feb, 2011):
 Breeding for abiotic (drought stress & physiological breeding) projects on wheat.
 Carryout basic and applied research on wheat.
 Lead the research project of rainfed wheat breeding activities and physiological
breeding activities on wheat.
 Involved on Participatory Varietal Selection activities

1.3 Hill Crops Research Program (HCRP), Kabre, Dolakha (Feb, 2009 to May 2010):
 Breeding for hills crops (Finger millet, Buckwheat, & Barley) and Rice bean.
 Carryout basic and applied research on hill crops and rice bean.
 Conducted several research trials related to breeding and crop management.

 Molecular characterization of Inbred Lines of Nepalese Maize germplasm.
 Agro-morphological characterization of pipeline maize varieties of Nepal.

Development (LI-BIRD), Pokhara, Nepal
Project Worked:
 Participatory Plant Breeding (PPB) on rice in high potential production system of
Nepal and Participatory Crop Improvement (PCI) in Terai of Nepal funded by DFID,
United Kingdom (UK).
 Upland (Rainfed) rice research in mid hill regions funded by Sainsbury Trust.
 Hill Maize Research Project funded by SDC/CIMMYT
Key Achievements:
 Contributed in the release of three rice varieties (Barkhe 3004, Pokhreli Jethobudho,
and Sunaulo Sugandha) developed through Client Oriented Breeding (COB).
 Numbers of potential rice varieties identified that are suitable for different production
environment through participatory varietal selection (PVS) approach.
 Validation of different farmers’ friendly breeding techniques.

Project Worked: Second Generation Problems in Off- Season Vegetable Production in
Eastern Hills of Nepal
