Carryout basic and applied research on wheat. Lead the research project of rainfed wheat breeding activities and physiological breeding activities on wheat. April 2002-June 2008: Plant Breeder, Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD), Pokhara, Nepal Project Worked: Participatory Plant Breeding (PPB) on rice in high potential production system of Nepal and Participatory Crop Improvement (PCI) in Terai of Nepal funded by DFID, United Kingdom (UK). Upland (Rainfed) rice research in mid hill regions funded by Sainsbury Trust. Hill Maize Research Project funded by SDC/CIMMYT Key Achievements: Contributed in the release of three rice varieties (Barkhe 3004, Pokhreli Jethobudho, and Sunaulo Sugandha) developed through Client Oriented Breeding (COB). Numbers of potential rice varieties identified that are suitable for different production environment through participatory varietal selection (PVS) approach. Validation of different farmers’ friendly breeding techniques. 3.
