Present Responsibilities:
• Being the O& M manager of the unit it is sole responsibility to take care of production, maintenance, housekeeping and all
other activities related to that unit.
• Being the mechanical Maintenance in-charge of Area-1(Dry circuit) it is sole responsibility to take care of planning, executing
different maintenance activities of the area.
• Responsible for managing engineers and technicians for shift for smooth operation for the plant.
• Responsible for all the mechanical activity to be carried out for the plant.
• Responsible for planning of material and manpower for different mechanical jobs according to the operational requirement.
• Providing mechanical services and attaining various breakdowns.
• Responsible for root cause analysis and repeated failure analysis and report generation for the same.
• In-charge for making the schedule for condition monitoring team and helping them for report generation.
• Administrating spare and shutdown planning.
• Formulating daily reports of critical equipments and recording history of gradation.
• Managing contractors for different planned shutdown activities and any other modifications in the plant. Team member in
finalizing AMC(Annual Maintenance Contract)
• Giving technical training, training on safety & housekeeping to junior staffs and making them aware of environment.
• Using SAP MM and PM module to create Notifications and maintenance orders and costing of a certain area.
• Helping in implementing ISO for mechanical maintenance practices and implementing MIS(mgt. Information system)
• Responsible for making and implementing equipment safety logics for the entire plant.
• Handling erection & commissioning of various projects which comes inside the plant.
• Mechanical member of core technical support crew. The crew is formed to attack different problem areas inside the plant.
This crew consists of one engineer from each department. The responsibility of the crew is to come out with a solution which
is to be implemented and the same is to be recorded as a case study.
Major Assignments Handled/Handling:
Operation &Maintenance:
Being the O&M in-charge of the unit I m responsible for the safe operation periodic, proactive and breakdown maintenance of the
following systems and equipments.
• Stacker and product conveyors of the plant-stacker-1200TPH
• Process fans-5 no’s up to 7MW VFD driven
• ID Fans: 20 fans which includes Combustion air fan of 315 KW and 1495 rpm-2 No’s, recirculation fans 800kw -2 no’s
• Mills: ALSTOM make Dry Grinding Ball Mill 100 TPH for grinding coke and lime. ALSTOM make Vertical Roller Mill 50
TPH for Bentonite Grinding.
• Pelletizing discs-10 no’s( 150 TPH)
• Eirich Mixer( 800TPH)
• Indurating machine-744 TPH
• Bagfilters: 16 bag filter with capacity up to 120000 cubic mtr./hr.
• Pneumatic conveying system: This system includes 6 no’s of vane compressors and 4 screw pumps supplied by
FLSmidth.
• Air slide conveyors
• Belt conveyors for material feeding.
• Vibrating feeders.
• Hammer crusher
• Hot air generators.
• Double flap dump valves.
• Rotary air lock valves, knife edge gate valves.
• Gear boxes, lubricating stations, heat exchangers, chain conveyors, belt drives, different types of couplings,
burners.
• Maintenance of large bunkers, ducts, dampers, expansion compensators etc.
Commissioning:
During plant erection i was responsible of the following things and done commissioning of the same.
• commissioning of:
o Stacker and product conveying systems consists up of vibrating feeders, conveyors chutes and stacker-1200TPH
o Combustion air fan of 315 KW and 1495 rpm-2 No.
o Hood seal air fan of 90KW and 990 RPM
o Wet Scrubber System including; Venture Scrubber DUSTVEN make, ID fan of 72,000 meter cube per hour, AEROTO
BOLDROCCHI make, WARMAN Slurry Pumps, Slurry Tanks & Piping and Steel Stack of 35 meter of 42 tons.
o Vibrating Feeders max. upto 1000 TPH
o Sampler for Pellet Sampling.
o De Dusting System of HLSB including Outdoor Bag House Filter, Slurry Tanks and Pumps both vertical and horizontal,
Steel Stacks of 35 meter and 28 tons, Ducting
o ALSTOM make Dry Grinding Ball Mill 100 TPH
o ALSTOM make Vertical Roller Mill 50 TPH for Bentonite Grinding
o ECOMAN Hammer Crusher for Lime Crushing
o Double Flap Valves, RALs, Cyclone Separators, Air Slide Conveyors, ID Fans maximum upto 800KW, Bag Filters both

Highlights:
• Successfully commissioned the largest pallet plant in India.
• Key member in all the major breakdown rapid action team.
• Consistently getting Rating 5 out of 5 from last three years in performance appraisal.
• Received power of positive action in the year 2012 and 2013 in Essar steel,paradeep.
• Mechanical In-charge of the Capital shutdown central control Room.
• Successfully attended one major shutdown in ALSTOM roller mill which includes the following:
o Completely dismantling of all the rollers, the drive shaft, spider and the complete plough assembly.
o Done Cast Iron Welding of four roller head casting – A rare type of Welding.
o Doing reverse engineering of all the broken items and prepared those items.
o Re assembly of all the items and then commissioning of the same.
o Made a case study for the same.
The roller mill is running from last one year and four months without which we could not run the plant. For this
achievement I got an award from our CEO.
