The document presents a novel optical color image cryptosystem utilizing a data steganography technique to embed a confidential color image into a host image of the same size, which is then encrypted using a double random phase encoding algorithm. A content-dependent method is employed to hide random phase data within the encrypted stego-image, thus enhancing both data hiding capacity and image quality. Experimental results indicate that the proposed system achieves significant improvements in secure data embedding and visual quality compared to existing methods.
