L-3 Communications/ATI (Applied Technologies Incorporated) – Electronics/Test Technician
2004-2015
 Performed MIL-STD-188-125-1, -2 High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) testing.
 Lead Electronics Technician/Test Technician for Continuous Wave Immersion (CWI), Shielding
Effectiveness (SE), and Pulsed Current Injection (PCI) testing.
 Responsibilities included preparing and delivering applicable test equipment to the customer
location. Properly packaged delicate electronics (including ESD sensitive items), loaded, and
secured equipment for truck transport.
 Maintained Department of Transportation (DOT) driver logbooks while driving truck.
 Set up and assembled test equipment to include network analyzers, digital oscilloscopes, RF
amplifiers, antenna systems and data acquisition and analysis (DAAS) computers.
 Assisted the lead test engineer regarding test protocols, procedures, and documentation
including test plans and reports. While at the test site, maintained the physical security of the
equipment and test items.
 Successfully completed training in the transportation of Hazardous Materials by Ground and
Dangerous Goods by Air in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and
Department of Transportation 49 CFR section 172.704 including General Security Awareness.
 Experienced and previously certified to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts (up to 120’).
 Build, troubleshoot, adjust, operate, and calibrate MARX bank pulsers and their control systems
including high voltage power supplies and compressed gasses. Also responsible for the
installation, repair, modification, maintenance and calibration of all test equipment and associated
items in the lab and at field locations as required.
 Construct custom test beds/fixtures using schematic diagrams, engineering drawings, blueprints,
technical drawings, diagrams, sketches and verbal direction from the engineering staff and
personal expertise.
 Proficient in the use of a wide variety of hand and power tools, test equipment, and safety
equipment to include drill press, table saw, belt sander, torque wrenches, soldering irons, voltage
breakdown tester, current probes, multimeters, LCR meters, electrical safety gloves, arc flash
suits, harnesses, and fall arrest equipment.
 Outstanding wire bundle and cable repair/soldering skills including RF cables.
 Able to lift 80 pounds or more repeatedly and very comfortable working in all conditions including
