emphasized operation, trouble-shooting and repair of electronic systems
• 8 years at Rockwell Collins, senior trouble-shooter and cross trained with
various circuit board testing machines.

serving aboard US nuclear submarines.
• Previously held security clearance (highest held was Top Secret) shows a

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Experienced Operation and Repair Technician
• Lead Shop Technician for five M250 Missile Test Sets, used to
conduct pre-flight checks of Trident sea-launched ballistic
missiles. Tasks included receipt inspection, equipment installation,
repair evaluation, calibration, operational testing, trouble-shooting
to component level using technical manuals and blueprints, cable
repair and creation, teaching, soldering, and wire-wrapping.
Successfully refurbished a test set in a quarter of the normal time
(two weeks instead of eight) when emerging issues precluded the
normal turn around time.
• Equipment Section Team. Member of a three man team tasked
with the precise and timely installation of 1.25 million dollars
worth of wiring, components and explosives into the forward
section of a ballistic missile for testing missile accuracy.
• Qualified Level 1 Submarine QA testing.
• Head of Navigation Department drill team. Created, submitted for
approval, coordinated with other departments, and then ran drill
scenarios to test the training. Submitted follow-up reports and
tracked progress. Navigation team scored highest mark allowed.
• Lead Information System technician on USS Maryland.
Responsible for the inventory, security, and maintenance of 135
computers, including virus software updates, program patches, user
passwords, hardware upgrades, evaluation of user needs, and
procurement.

• Information Systems Technology at Operation Test Support Unit
Two. Created IT department from the ground up. Created
equipment and software inventory for two ships and a set of offices
on shore. Removed obsolete equipment and found a source of
modern computer systems at no cost to the command.
Documented software licensing compliance, and secured
legitimate software at below retail cost. This saved the command
over $3,000, and prevented over a million dollars worth of fines.
Wrote procedural guide to ensure good security practices were
followed. For these efforts, I was awarded the Navy Achievement
Medal.
Technical Expertise
• Graduate of M250 Advanced Maintenance Course. Course
included system analysis, RF troubleshooting, and antenna
systems.
• Graduate Advanced Electrostatic Gyro-Navigator maintenance
course. A two week course to teach advance trouble shooting
techniques for submarine navigation systems. Emphasis on
technical diagram reading, digital IC circuits, and logical
troubleshooting.
