Responsibilities:
As a Senior Analyst (2006-2008)
 Experienced in applying data modelling methodology in performing data extraction, data
aggregation, data mining, and integrity check to trace identifiable factors and ensure accuracy
of numbers, process meaningful information from the available data, producing and delivering
variety of Financial/Management Reports at regular intervals (Daily, Weekly, and Monthly) to
clients/stakeholders across the globe.
 Monitor the integrity of the raw data received, evaluate and identify issues, liaise with
appropriate internal operational departments to report quality issues, recommend solution to
address data quality and integrity.
 Producing critical financial and management reports and representing information with
extensive use of MS Excel for visually enhanced reports (in the form of pivot tables, graphs,
charts, spreadsheets, V Look ups etc.).
 Conduct deep dive data analysis on performance of the business/traded equity and debt
products, provide value added analysis to stakeholders by writing commentaries on
performance of financial products with applied analytics and drawing comparisons, create
dashboards and report metrics highlighting potential/forecasted trends, variances, future
scope, issues and concerns.
 Holding business review meetings with business managers to discuss these critical
management reports, present an insight on over/under spend by global market businesses,
compare performance with benchmarks, identify opportunities for scope for negotiation of
rates paid compared to market standards, providing financial advice based on trends to the
business units and incorporating any feedback prior to final roll of these management reports.
 Suggest continual process improvements and recommendation to stakeholders to
improve/build on the existing report content, completeness of information and drive
efficiencies.
 Understanding business needs and incorporating relevant information and practices into the
MI Reports.
 Adherence to strict deadlines, timely completion and delivery of the reports per service levels
agreed (SLA)
 Produce ad-hoc reports for stakeholders along with BAU.
 Ensure all reporting requirements are documented in line with business expectations and kept
up-to date, including process maps, procedures, definitions and standards, data dictionary
and data management to ensure no loss of external/internal data.
As a Team Manager (2008-2011)
 Manage the flow of day-to-day operations.
 Perform Quality check on the financial reports produced by analysts to ensure accuracy of
numbers and within agreed reporting standards.
 Provide constant support to the team members by liaising with data provider departments to
expedite on resolving data discrepancies (when need be) and recommend solutions to
address future data quality and integrity issues.
 Chairing business review meetings with business managers/stakeholders to discuss these
reports along with analysts, active flagging of key risk indicators (KRI’s) and issues and
ensuring they are proactive addressed.
 Presentation of Management reports to senior management with key highlights.
 Provide expertise on the trending of derivative products traded , data quality, data validation
and data flow
 Promote and ensure optimal report delivery creating efficiency and effectiveness for the end
users.
 Lead and drive various reporting initiatives from ideation to automation.
 Identify and drive further improvements to existing processes.
 Conducting orientation for new hires and provide any training the team members need.
 Monitor team members' participation to ensure the process training they are provided with is
being put into use, and also to see if any additional training is needed.
 Responsible for meeting budgetary targets through motivating and developing staff,
consistently achieving and surpassing Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
 Reviewing and evaluating weekly KPI achievement of staff to compare performance of the
team against standards set on a monthly basis, assess C-Sat from clients and continually
work towards process and performance improvement.
 Provide robust modelling and reporting to facilitate decision making by analyzing KPI’s and
trends.
 Mapping business requirements and providing them superlative solutions involving evaluation
and definition of scope of requests and finalization of reporting deliverables.
 Liaise across various business units and maintain relationships to drive consensus and
promote organizational success.
 Framing work direction and plan for associates after comprehensive assessment of resource
capabilities, conducting performance appraisal on a mid-yearly and annual basis, providing
feedback, framing objectives and tracking and guiding performance to further career growth.
 Spoc for the department with a 120 staff in conducting Rewards & Recognition (R&R) on a
monthly basis, an IT spoc to ensure all IT tickets raised by the staff are closed and BCM Spoc
to ensure business continuity in times of crisis.
Achievements:
 Resided Onsite twice (London, UK) for KAP (Knowledge Acquisition Process) and
transitioning onshore operations to offshore delivery; thus contributing to expanding
businesses and boost revenues to the organisation.
 Promoted as a Team Manager within a short span of two years with the bank.
 Identified and successfully led an end to end automation project converting all manual
operations reports to automatic delivery, thus contributing to sharp increase in accuracy
rate, lower error rates, high levels of user uptake and headcount saves by 50%. The project
won the Business Excellence award at the annual R&R by top management, Best Team
manager and Best Team award.
 Achieved increased profits through better reporting and used the information to conduct
deep dive into expenses to eliminate or reduce costs.
 Transformed the team into a dynamic, result focused and well respected team, winning
laureates both at individual and team levels. Led the development of several reporting
initiatives leading to process and performance improvements by applied reasoning and
analytical abilities.
