This document details the design and analysis of three types of heat exchangers for an open circuit wind tunnel control system to manage excess heat from a liquid rheostat. It examines the performance of double pipe, shell and tube, and transverse fin type heat exchangers using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), comparing parameters like temperature and pressure drop to identify the most efficient model. The study utilizes various simulation techniques and design calculations to optimize the heat exchange process, presenting comprehensive data on the performance of each model.
