The study investigates the accuracy of linear and volumetric measurements using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) on dry human jaws, finding no significant differences between direct measurements and CBCT results. The average absolute measurement error (AME) for linear measurements was 0.06mm with a 0.5% average percentage error (APE), while for volumetric measurements the AME was 3.7 mm3 with a 4.9% APE. The results indicate high reliability and accuracy of CBCT measurements in dental applications, particularly in the midline region.
