- 2. CD cover - Drake The artist (Drake) is in the centre so that the focus is on him. Lots of gold jewellery on show to illustrate his wealth and success to others. The album name presented in a signature like font to suggest it’s a message from the artist to who it may concern E.g his fans. Looking down to portray some of the possible negative moods of the songs. The quality of the picture is slightly old fashioned suggesting some of his songs/lyrics are about his past. The large pictures on big walls makes it seem as though he is in a large house, again showing his wealth. A gold owl may be another message to people to be wise because owls are related with being wise, linking again with the name of the album.
- 3. CD cover – 21 Savage Artist in the centre to draw attention to him and so the album is recognisable. Parental advisory logo in the centre to show potential buyers the type of music instantly. Name of the album in huge letters in front of the artist to show it’s more important than the artist himself. Flames on the palm trees to suggest that is music is hot like fire. Loads of $100 notes illustrating his wealth and success to the public. The inclusion of palm trees to perhaps portray that he is in paradise.
- 4. Advert – Jay Z 3 red stripes linking to the title which is the third of ‘The Blueprint’ series. The artists name at the top in bold and capital letters to make it obvious to the audience. Promoting the artists website by having it included at the bottom. The release date in bold to help promote it and make people remember when it’s available. The company that the artist founded included to help his fans connect with him in another way other than music. Picture of lots of instruments reflecting the diverse style of music.
- 5. Advert – Kendrick Lamar Main image of the artist stood by a wall like a criminal, perhaps reflecting the artists’ background and music. Artist wearing t shirt promoting the album will make fans do the same.This is called celebrity endorsement. Album name in all capitals and the colour red to connote danger. Set out like a newspaper article, suggesting his songs are stories. Record label displayed at the top to make fans of this artist listen to other artists signed by this label. The wall is he colour blue which connotes purity and heaven, foreshadowing the mood of his songs.
