Digipak and website
- 2. FRONT COVER For our digipak ‘Misanthropic’ we used a very everyday-like image of people traveling and commuting to work etc. and our main artist, ‘XS Stax’ within the crowd. We used this shot to represent the idea that he doesn’t stand out from the crowd and that his ‘star image’ and fame don’t matter to him like it does to other artists, for him it is about the music.
- 3. FRONT COVER Similarly, Loyle Carner’s ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ album cover convey’s a similar message as it may be difficult to distinguish him from the big group he is standing in, also possibly showing the idea that he isn’t interested in the fame aspect of his career.
- 4. BACK COVER Our back cover consists of a simple black background and an orange filmstrip that continues from the front cover. The choice of the colour black was used to convey our artist as mysterious. The orange filmstrip represents the same idea because it is difficult to see the pictures on it.

BACK COVER This simple but effective idea was inspired by The Weeknd’s ‘Beauty Behind the Madness’ album cover as it is purely black with the tracklist in a yellow font, creating an element of mysteriousness to both himself as an artist and to his music. This convention sparks curiosity in the audience where they want to know more about the artist and what it is that they are trying to communicate.
- 6. WEBSITE Our website shows a video of the Grenfell Tower fire, to represent the idea of the destruction of a community due to an event like this, mirroring the concept of our music video. Again, the website doesn’t immediately show a picture of our artist, to give the sense that, to him, his career is purely about the music than the fame and selling himself.

WEBSITE We developed this simplistic image by sharing conventions with XXXTentacion’s website homepage, as he shares similar concepts of not immediately showing an image of himself as an artist, but rather his music and what it represents. The words on the image suggest what kind of genre his music is, which is what inspired our website homepage of showing the fire.
