Digipak's
- 2. HAIM We take a lot of inspiration from this band, due to their style and this is the style we wish to adopt to our own band. They have a relaxed indie vibe about them and this appeals to us. The fact that there is three girls in the band too also relates to us. The album covers are quite simple, unique and carefree which relates to the type of band that they are, another element that we wish to use for our own.
- 3. LANA DEL REY Lana del rey is a solo artist that we could also look into, due to her indie genre. The pictures that she appears in are quite simple and this is a convention that we would also like to use, so the main purpose is around the music and less on the way that the band/artist is presented.
- 4. FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE Florence + the machine is mainly focused on the lead singer, but we want to make ours around all of the band. Having said this, looking at the album covers and digipaks, they are very indie and in touch with nature. We also like this idea and are going to use this in our music video and the album covers.
- 5. KINGS OF LEON King’s Of Leon are similar in the way that their music is the type of genre that we would like to use. We like the idea of the digipaks and album covers of this band because they are set outside and in touch with nature. We like this idea and we are going to use these conventions in our album covers.
- 6. YEAH YEAH YEAH’S This band is quite edgy but we could adopt this to our band. Our band is called ‘after midnight’ which suggests being up late and drinking and partying, so this is quite edgy too. They do not use the artists face in the digipaks which implies that they are all about their music, and not their image.
