The Cycle of Poverty
digitaldividedata.org
Born in a country with no access to opportunity, it is very difficult to rise
out of poverty.
1. Children are born
into poor families.
2. They drop out of
school to support their
families.
3. Poverty persists for
the next generation.
Breaking the Cycle of Poverty
DDD breaks the cycle of poverty by training, employing and giving talented,
poor youth access to better opportunities.
digitaldividedata.org
DDD’s Work / Study Program
DDD’s intensive program empowers youth with the skills to transform their lives.
Half are young women; 10% are youth with disabilities.
1. Recruitment 2. Training
3. Employment 4. Graduation

IMPACT MEASUREMENT
DDD graduates earn a greater annual income than other high
school graduates—and even better than college graduates—
most of whom come from middle and upper class families.
Shown here are the Cambodian Socio-Economic Survey data for the average
income of high school graduates—and college graduates—in Cambodia, compared
to income data for DDD program graduates in Cambodia and Laos.
digitaldividedata.org
As might be expected with higher incomes, the survey data also
shows that savings increase significantly for program graduates.

Growth, Goals & Partnerships – DDD Kenya
• Established a strong recruitment & training
program with the help of 15+ Social Mission &
Education Partners
• 101 students are in the university while 44 are
in community colleges(145/230); We hope
this number will double by January 2014.
• Overall, looking forward to 3000 DMOs in the
next 5 years.
