A Digital Native is someone born during or after the widespread adoption of digital technology. The term was coined in 2001 to describe people who have grown up surrounded by digital devices like computers, mobile phones, the internet, and digital music. Digital Natives are contrasted with Digital Immigrants who adopted digital technologies later in life.
