This document summarizes a dissertation on the globalization of the English Premier League and its impact on the performance of the English national football team. It investigates how and why migration of foreign players to the EPL has changed over time, and the effects of this migration on the English national team. Through quantitative analysis of player data, it finds that foreign player numbers in the EPL have increased significantly due to the league's commodification and globalization. However, this increased foreign migration did not negatively impact the English team's performance until foreign players made up over two-thirds of the league, suggesting claims of immigration levels being too high are exaggerated.
