Doddabalapur is a town in Karnataka that has existed since the 16th century and has a rich history under various rulers; it is now an important commercial center known for silk production. The town is slated to benefit greatly from upcoming infrastructure projects like the BIAL IT Investment Region and peripheral ring road, which will bring over 1 million jobs and massive investment to the area. Doddabalapur has good transportation connections like rail, bus and upcoming road projects, and is developing as a residential and commercial hub with many schools, hospitals, hotels and real estate projects along the Yelhanka-Doddabalapur Road corridor.
