DOS AND DONTS
    OF A JOB
   INTERVIEW

By: Roy Gòmez
DOS
 Punctuality
recommended, arrive 20 minutes before the
scheduled time for the interview, to allow time
to park the car and be on time.
 have a submissive attitude

winning attitude in a job interview is to go with
availability and openness to discuss any topic
related to your profiles
 Not go wrong dress
Your appearance is therefore important for the
recruiter, because it reflects your safety,
attention to detail, attitude and aspirations.
DONTs
 No gum, no candy
nothing in your mouth except teeth (hopefully)
and other nature-given stuff. You’re there to
speak and listen – without anything else going
on in there.
 Don’t wear perfume or cologne.
I hope I don’t need to explain this, but if I
do…first, some people find perfumes or
colognes offensive – worse yet, some people
may be allergic.
 Don’t interrupt the interviewer!
Even if you think you get where they’re going
and have the most brilliant answer ever to their
interview question, this is one of the most
annoying things you can do.
 Don’t take off on your own and answer a
  question that wasn’t asked.
Following up on the previous “don’t”, you may
think you know where they’re going, but they
may throw you a curve ball.
