This article describes a new case methodology that can be used to help participants diagnose and increase their competence in facilitating double-loop learning. The case methodology involves participants providing advice to "Andy", played by a faculty member, on how Andy could have avoided errors that led to his failure to become CEO. The article summarizes the key points of the case and the advice provided by participants. It then analyzes how the learning experience served to test features of the underlying theory of action used to design the experience. The case methodology provided insights into participants' effectiveness in facilitating double-loop learning and their potential blind spots, while also evaluating aspects of the theory.
