Sociocracy is a governance model based on consent and circles. It uses four key principles: [1] consent-based decision making where objections must reference how a circle's purpose is negatively impacted; [2] organizing into circles with specific purposes and tasks delegated to participants; [3] connecting circles through double links of representatives; [4] assigning roles through open and consent-based elections rather than positions of power. This model aims to distribute leadership and allow for autonomy, continuous improvement, and tolerance of mistakes in an agile environment.
